Review:
Zombie flicks are my guilty pleasure and World War Z delivers.
This is the most family friendly zombie movie that exists! I wouldn’t pit the
book against the movie since both bring something different.
From doing a series of indie films, Brad Pitt shows he perfectly capable of
carrying a blockbuster in his studly shoulders. He gave a solid performance as
a smart “zombie” butt-kicking investigator bent on doing anything to keep his
family alive and give humankind a fighting chance against the undead. No slow
zombies here. Part of the thrill of this movie is that they move ridiculously
fast! This is definitely one zombie flick that would not get lost in the
mountains of films and shows borne of the industry’s current fixation of the
undead.
Fave Character:
Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane (strong and vulnerable action hero)
Least Liked
Character:
Elyes Gabel as Andrew Fassbach (Really? Was he really mankind's last hope for salvation?)
Fave Quote: (NV)
Andrew Fassbach: (Mother Nature) disguises
her weaknesses as strengths. The most brutal aspect of this plague is actually
the chink in her armor.
Fave Scene:
Jerusalem
breach!
