Les Miserables(2012)- Short Movie Review

Plot Summary:
Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever. In December 2012, the world's longest-running musical brings its power to the big screen in Tom Hooper's sweeping and spectacular interpretation of Victor Hugo's epic tale. -- (C) Universal

Review:

Laugh, cry, cover your face in disgust and horror. The dazed looks of the audience after the movie proves that Les Miserables does live up to its hype.
Anne Hathaway carries the entire movie even with her limited screen time. Hugh Jackman's musical prowess is undeniable in this film. Coupled with Sacha and Helena's perfect comedic timing, Les Mis is that box of chocolate Forest Gump described-you never know what you are gonna get..but you sure will love it.
WHY wasn't Hooper nominated for awards?

Fave Character:
Anne Hathaway as Fantine
Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean

Fave Quote:
Cosette: Every day you walk with stronger step, you walk with longer step. The worst is over
