Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)- Short Movie review

Plot Summary:
From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team-the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits-Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy's fate in the balance. Review:

Walt Disney Studios will enjoy well-deserved profits this film rakes in. The movie’s quick and witty script keeps snapping you back into a good mood all through out the film. While the special effects were impressive, it refrained from become another superhero film on steroids. The awesome Last Song Syndrome inducing track was the highlight for me.

Cris Pratt would surely be a sought after leading man after his stint as “Star Lord”. Batista was surprisingly good in his role (who knew?). What I found lacking was the teamwork and chemistry among the main cast. I guess that could be worked on as they proceed with the franchise.  This first installment definitely set the trilogy down the right path.

Fave Character:
Groot (Who would have guessed a tree could be cute and cuddly)

Least Liked Character:
Ronan (I didn’t hate him, I didn’t love him)

Fave Quote: (NV)
Rocket Raccoon: Quit smiling you idiot, we're supposed to be professionals.

Fave Scene:
Groot dancing

Have I lost you (Original Composition)

Have I lost you

Fm-Am
I'm lying in bed
Thinking of what I said
That night I talked to you
I don't remember why
I forced you to say goodbye
I can't help but cry

Chorus
C-Em-C-Em-F-Am
Have I lost you?
Have you finally let go
Have you given up on me
Has your love grown cold
Have I lost you?

Fm-Am
I recall the tears
that fell when you called me
As you said goodbye to me
I hate my foolish pride
That pushed you to my past
I can't help but ask

C-Em-C-Em-F-Am
Have I lost you?
Have you turned your back on me
Has your heart shut me out
Have you given up on us
Has your love burned out
Have I lost you?

Thank you (Original Composition)

Thank you

F- C-B-C
There’s something about you that makes me want to sing
You fill my head with all these wonderful things
And every time that I would find you near
Your voice and every word I’m eager to hear

B-F-B-F-C
So to you I dedicate this song
Cause  plain old words just feels bare and wrong
I do apologize for being so cliché
But these two words are all that I want to say

F          C-  B-F-B-C
Thank you,For being you
C          D
Thank you

F- C-B-C
Somehow you found a way to reach into my heart
You saw right through my walls and took them apart
I was a cynic and had a jaded view
Now I get excited at everything new

 B-F-B-F-C
So I just had to show my gratitude
This is the best way that I feel I could
Our paths may separate, we’d go our own ways
These two words sum up what I want to say
